Finding Joy In Everyday Life
There is so much going in the world today. It is very imperative to take time out to find joy in everyday life.
I’m just stopping by to share some things that gave me joy this month.
I hope this encourages you to take a moment to stop and pause to find joy.
If you look at what is going on around us, our minds are going through so much. It can be a bit much. Finding nuggets of joy in everyday life is necessary.
So, make it your business to find some joy in each day. Embrace and soak it in, whatever it may be.

Egg Chair
My kids surprise me with an egg chair. I have had my eye on one for a while, but they were always sold out. I was going to wait and post it.
You know, remove the plastic, put some flowers, and a table beside it lol. I was happy and excited until I couldn’t wait.
Joy was all around me. I decided to capture myself in a photo embracing and soaking in this moment.
No worries, this egg chair will be showing its face on some upcoming blog posts all dolled up lol.

Pumfu
As a plant-based eater, I am always looking for ways to get in protein. I have been crushing lately on these lettuce wraps with pumfu. I usually add half of an avocado, but I was out of them.
What is pumfu? It is a tofu alternative that is high in protein. It is made out of only water and pumpkin seeds.
It can be used just like you use tofu.
You can use it in scrambles, tacos, stir fry, etc. Each serving has 17 grams of protein.
It is a great plant-based protein. It takes on the flavor you season it with.

Ice roller
If you have been following the blog, you already know how I feel about the jade roller and facial massager. They are some of my must-haves.
I have finally added the ice roller to the mix. Lately, it has been in my morning routine. Jade roller, facial massager, and ice roller share similar benefits.
When I am going for the cold effect, I like the ice roller. It stays colder longer than the jade roller. I had to get used to the bulkiness of it, though
Wim Hof breathing technique with a cold shower
I spoke about this briefly in a previous post. It has been a great addition to my routine.
I found out about the Wim Hof breathing technique from this book, “Breathwork, How To Use Your Breath To Change Your Life”
The Wim Hof breathing technique by William Hoff involves taking ninety-three breaths broken up in three rounds with thirty inhales and exhales.
Then one big inhale and hold during the three rounds process. After I finish the breath work, I take a cold shower.
My mind and body feel so light, relax, & energized afterward.
Watching funny videos from IG with my husband
This past year has given me time to think about joyful moments and things that I experience throughout the day.
Because these moments seem like the norm, it can become easy to forget to appreciate them.
My husband likes to show me funny videos from IG. I appreciate these moments of laughter that we get to share.
They add laughter to my everyday.
We always hear about how laughter uplifts the mood, but it can also help our body in another way.
Mayo Clinic Staff (2021) talked about how laughter may improve the immune system (on a long-term basis) due to the positive thoughts that come with laughter. Positive thoughts cause neuropeptides to activate.
Neuropeptides tackle stress symptoms and other illnesses of the body.
Sometimes things that seem so minor can have an impact in the long run. It is all about taking the time out to acknowledge it.

Tea time with Electric Kettle
This electric kettle has been one of my latest toys. It has upgraded my tea game.
It has a temperature control where you can select the desired temperature.
Come to find out that the temperature of the water is important for specific teas.
They need the water to be a certain temperature for you to get the most benefits out of them.
An electric kettle solves the problem for you.
I have also been enjoying this tea blend called Blueberry Lavender. I have been curious about butterfly pea flower tea.
I saw this blend had it in it with collagen-promoting ingredients. I had to get it.
These are some things and moments that have been giving me joy in my everyday life.
How have you been finding joy in everyday? Do share.
Until next time
